Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Fire accident occurred in a row in a day in the city of Banjarmasin, Wednesday (27/8). Fire rages in three places and a total of eight homes burned.


Chief Executive of the Regional Disaster Management Agency Muhammad Hilmi said, a fire broke out on Jalan Sungai Andai, North Banjarmasin, exactly in front of SMA 11 around 09.30 am, and burned three houses. The fire was allegedly caused by an exploded stove.

Not long after the firefighters managed to extinguish the fire on Sungai Andai, fire broke out again at Jalan Kelayan B Gg Family, South Banjarmasin, around 10.00 am. The fire in a densely populated area burned four houses.

Several minutes after the firefighters tackled the fire in a busy Kelayan B, they had another fire in the area of Banjar Indah 3, Jalan A Yani KM 5, South Banjarmasin, around 11:00 am. One house burned here.

All of these fires caused no death victim, but the majority of victims ' property can not be saved.

Regional Disaster Management Agency immediately reported this tragedy and the amount of the burning houses complete with address to the Banjarmasin City Government Social Agency in order to receive assistance.

To help home badly burned, said Hilmi, government grants Rp2.5 million. "There is additional help again usually in the form of tarpaulins and food from the municipal government to ease the burden of the fire victims," he concluded.
