Barabai, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Central Hulu Sungai (HST) government continues to anticipate drug trafficking and illicit among adolescents, among others, to support and revive the Boy Scouts.
Regional Secretary (Sekda) of HST IBG Dharma Putra in Barabai on Monday said the younger generation should be given the space and ample opportunity to take part in the positive activities so that they can be kept away from the negative influence of the distribution and abuse of illicit drugs.
According to him, one way is to Praja Muda Karana activities (Scouts). Here young people can develop themselves, explore their talents and potential and useful skills for their future.
Sekda who is also head of HST Scouts branch quarter (Kwarcab) said this in his speech during the Pramuka’s 52 anniversary celebrations, which took place at the Field Dwiwarna Barabai. The ceremony was attended by heads of Banua Anam's Kwarda and Kwarcab.
On this occasion, Sekda opened scout camp, followed by 16 Frontline (Gudep) of seven kwartir with 385 participants consisted of 190 male and 195 female, and 40 men Bina damping.
