The Social Service of the North Hulu Sungai (HSU) District channeled assistance from the Family Hopes Program (PKH) that this year the funds have jumped sharply to Rp30 billion.


Head of the HSU Social Service Rizali Eswansyah in Amuntai on Thursday said the number of beneficiary families (KPM) from this program in the district was 10,571 KPM.

"The PKH program is carried out through four stages every year, now it has entered the third phase, the funds channeled to KPM will reach Rp30 billion," Rizali said.

Details of the distribution of PKH funds, said Rizali, the first stage was Rp13 billion, the second stage Rp7.5 billion and the third Rp7.5 billion, to be followed by the fourth stage.
 
The increase in the amount of PKH funds disbursed in 2019 due to changes in central government policies related to KPM components of assistance.

HSU PKH Coordinator Fikri said the change in policy assistance was calculated based on the components owned by the family, with a maximum limit of four household members.

Members in the KPM who are entitled to PKH fund assistance are pregnant mother Rp600 thousand, toddler 600 thousand, elementary school student Rp225 thousand, junior high school Rp375 thousand, high school Rp500 thousand, elderly Rp600 thousand and person with disabilities Rp600 thousand.

"So if there is a family have at the same time pregnant woman, child under five, elementary school student, the elderly and persons with disabilities, then all family members, except the father, will get PKH assistance with a total of Rp2,625,000 each stage of distribution, while the previous one was Rp500 thousand per family," explained Fikri.

HSU Deputy Regent H. Husairi Abdi accompanied by Deputy Chairperson of HSU TP PKK Hj, Erlian Noor Fauziah handed over PKH assistance to KPM in Paminggir Subdistrict, Sunday (28/7).
