The 105th edition of TNI Integrated Village Development (TMD) program will officially begin one or two days later, but the taskforce of Military Command (Kodim) 1007 Banjarmasin have started working as they face heavy terrain.


"Terrain is difficult, materials can only be transported through river channels, so we must really take advantage of the time available as early as possible to start work," the Military Commander (Dandim) 1007 Banjarmasin Lt.Col.Inf Nopid Arif as taskforce commander said on Sunday.

The community in the kampong Kuin Kecil, Mantuil Village, South Banjarmasin Subdistrict, which is the location of TMMD, relying only on river transportation in the form of kelotok or small boats with motor or sampanwhich are paddled manually.

The road is only a path. If the tide up it is submerged and cannot be crossed by two-wheeled vehicles. Kuin Kecil is a suburban area directly adjacent to Aluh-Aluh Sub-district, Banjar District. The local community are mostly farmers who struggle in rice fields everyday.

Enthusiastically facilitating people's access, TMMD taskforce, which is commanded by the Dandim, build roadblock for the quality of the village road along 1.5 kilometers and a width of 3 meters with a thickness of 70 centimeters.

Then 17 small bridges will also be rehabilitated with an average length of 10 to 18 meters and a width of 3 meters along the TMMD target road. They also carried out the construction of culverts in four locations with a length of 4 meters.

In addition, the taskforce is renovating a mushalla and four residents' houses. They also carry out non-physical activities, such as counseling and health social services.

The implementation of the TMMD is scheduled for one month until 8 August 2019. While the opening ceremonial will be held in Bawang Port in Mantuil Village on 11 July 2019.

Nopid ensured that all members of the TMMD Task Force stayed at the location by staying in people's homes. Togetherness and mutual cooperation is indeed the spirit of TMMD as a manifestation of the unity of the TNI and the people.

Army Headquarters through the Bhakti TNI Army Territorial Staff (Sterad) established 50 locations for the 105th TMMD program, including two regions in South Kalimantan, namely the city of Banjarmasin and Kotabaru district.
