Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) now has 49 professors, after five academics are sure to embrace the highest career path as a professor.
"The inauguration of five professors will take place on Thursday (6/20) in the Banjarbaru campus auditorium," said ULM Chancellor Prof. Dr. H Sutarto Hadi in Banjarmasin on Wednesday (6/20).
Five academics who succeeded in boosting the reputation of ULM to beincreasingly moving forward as a leading and competitive university were Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim Barkatullah who is the Dean of the Faculty of Law.
Then Prof. Dr. Saladin Ghalib from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Prof. Dr. Nia Kania from the Faculty of Medicine, as well as two others from the Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP), namely Prof. Dr. Ersis Warmansyah and Prof. Dr. Fatchul Mu'in.
Sutarto also claimed to be very proud. In addition to the addition of a significant number of professors, the inauguration of the five people at the same time is also a separate historical record. Previously, ULM never conducted inauguration of as many as five professors simultaneously.
"It is possible that in Indonesia there has never been a higher education institution that has conducted the inauguration of professors as many as this. We are very grateful for this achievement," he said.
Previously the biggest university and the pride of the people of South Kalimantan, that was accredited A, had 44 professors. Prof. Dr. Drg Rosihan Adhani, who is the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, was confirmed as a professor on 31 January 2019.
All faculties at ULM are complete, all of them have professors and the presence of professors in a study program, are expected to encourage improvement in the quality of education and teaching while providing a role model in building a good academic atmosphere.
