West Banjarmasin uncovers motor vehicle theft

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 12/8 (AntaranewsKalsel) - West Banjarmasin Sector Police has uncovered a motor vehicle theft (curanmor) case that occurred in the city.


"The perpetrator AB (22) was arrested four days after the disappearance of the victim's motorcycle," said Banjarmasin Police Chief Sr Comr police (Kombespol) Anjar Wicaksana here on Saturday.

He said the theft occurred on Monday (7/8) at around 22:30 after the victim, Jasman, (45) parked his motorcycle in his house yard on Jalan Purnasakti Line 9, Basirih Village, West Banjarmasin.

The parked motor without a handlebar lock was then disappeared. The victim later reported to the sector police.

After conducting an investigation, the police found and captured the perpetrator at his home on Jalan Tembus Mantuil, South Banjarmasin, on Friday (11/8) at around 20:30.

"During the arrest, the officers also confiscated a red and black Suzuki Satria FU 150 with a police number DA 4137 owned by the victim," Anjar said.

For his actions, the perpetrator is subject to a theft case as Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a 5-year prison threat.

"I appreciate West Banjarmasin for successfully uncovering the case quite quickly with the discovery of evidence to be returned to the owner," he said.
