Balangan, South Kalimantan 8/6 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Central government through Hall of River Area (BWS) Regional II Kalimantan to pay compensation for the land affected by the development of irrigation of Pitap dam in Balangan District, South Kalimantan.
Representative of Hall of River Area Region II Kalimantan Rizal at Paringin on Thursday said it is currently validating the compensation payment plan.
However, Rizal said again, based on the calculation and availability of funds not yet all irrigated communities will receive land compensation at this time.
"We lack funds of around Rp700 million for this compensation plan," Rizal said.
The plan was presented by Rizal in a meeting attended by village head and village apparatus along with hundreds of residents from Lokbatu and Karuh Villages, Batumandi Subdistrict, and Pulantan Village, Awayan Sub-district.
Due to lack of funds, Rizal said, the payment of compensation takes precedence in the villages of Pulantan and Lokbatu. While for Karuh Village only part of the land to be paid, the rest will be paid after the APBN funds are down.
"Frankly we are being hunted for time, eager for all compensation to be resolved, because the work must continue," he said.
While payment of compensation in Bakung Village has been completed, but there are some villages for irrigation development has not been completed the process of compensation, namely Pulantan and Lokbatu, so they must be resolved first.
