Amuntai, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Pangdam VI (Commander of Military Area VI) Mulawarman Maj.Gen. Johny L.Tobing threatened to immediately dismiss member of the Army (TNI) or soldier involves in drugs.
According to the military commander during a working visit to the Amuntai-Balangan Military Command (Kodim)/ 1001 headquarters in Amuntai on Friday TNI will not take rehabilitation process or otherwise, for the drug perpetrator.
"There is no TNI budget for the rehabilitation of soldiers who are addicted to drugs. The soldiers involved in drugs directly fired," said Johny.
A visit to the Amuntai military command was in the framework of silaturrahmi (togetherness) and guidance while absorbing the aspirations of the soldiers in order to improve the performance of the military.
On the occasion, Johny asserted, the deadline for tolerance or forgiveness for Army members involved in drug has been depleted since July 2016 and thereafter no more mercy.
He explained that members of the military who had been fired and become civilians are welcome to be rehabilitated, but as long as still as a soldier no rehabilitation policy by TNI.
Thus, added Pandam, members of the military do not try to get involved, as well as consume, or distributing, or backing drug trafficking, because sanctions will be immediately dismissed with no respect.
According to him, the level of welfare of TNI members are now better than ever, even the lowest-ranking soldiers get salaries and allowances reached Rp4 million per month.
Regional commander also requested the cooperation of the TNI members' wives to remind their husbands not to fall into drug abuse.
