Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - South Kalimantan government accelerate the completion of the construction of Pelaihari ports, which is expected to swallow Rp1,5 billion state budget.
Head of South Kalimantan Transportation Agency Haris Karno here on Monday said, Pelaihari Seaport located in the Sewarangan village, Tanah Laut district, was previously a collector port. Based on the decision of Transportation Minister number KP.414 2013, the port is planned to be a national parent port.
Masterplan for the port development has been done by the ministry. The port area, especially for dry and liquid bulk port with 5,000 hectares of industrial area. The yard will be constructed for five hectares, two hectares of warehouse, two hektere for offices, 100 hectares for stockpile and PT SILO's shore tank covers an area of ​​25 hectares.
The construction, said Haris, started since 2008 to 2014. Funds disbursed have reached Rp87,4 billion from state budget for the construction of pile and pier floor. Later in 2015, will be proposed again Rp54 billion development fund for land acquisition and roads access.
From South Kalimantan provincial budget have proposed Rp17,7 billion in 2014. Later in 2015 to be proposed the construction of an access road with a budget of Rp15 billion.
In addition, South Kalimantan administration is also working to complete the Batulicin port development and its expanion to Kersik Putih. Port development master plan, which is managed by PT Pelindo III, has an "existing" pier with a length of 50-meter. The pier is targeted to reach 120 meters with a one thousand square meter warehouse.
